The piece
The thumb holes were the whole point. Not a detail, not a finish — the reason the sleeve exists at all. Your thumbs slip through, the cuff settles across your palm, and something shifts. The asymmetric hem was drawn to match that feeling: one side longer, gathered neckline pulling off the shoulder, nothing perfectly symmetrical. Larah kept returning to the idea that a garment can make you feel quietly fortified without announcing itself. Viscose was the only fabric that would behave this way — cool, fluid, not precious. This tunic is made one piece at a time, after you order, in Bulgaria.
Material
The fabric is viscose jersey, which means it has a cool, smooth hand and falls without resistance. It has enough stretch to move with you but recovers its shape when hung. The colour listed as Black is available alongside Grey Melange and other shades on request. Because viscose is a lightweight knit, the finished tunic packs small and sits close to the body without clinging.
Fit & sizing
Larah is 175 cm and wears size S in the photos. The neckline is designed to sit off one or both shoulders and can be adjusted by how you wear it. The hem is asymmetric by design, longer at one side. Between sizes? Send your measurements in the order notes — we'll cut to fit at no extra cost.
Styling
Wear it over straight-leg linen trousers from the atelier — the wide linen pants or the olive linen harem trousers both work — with bare feet or low leather sandals. It carries itself at a warm-weather gallery opening, on long flights where you need stretch and some semblance of dressing, or through back-to-back studio days when comfort and intention have to coexist. Add the designer cardigan (as a layer) over the top in cooler weather; the off-shoulder neckline stays visible. For an alternate bottom in the same dressed-down register, the black midi shorts build a leg-baring summer version of the same silhouette.
Care
Hand wash or machine wash cold on a gentle cycle. Do not tumble dry — viscose jersey loses its shape under heat. Hang to dry away from direct sun, which can shift the colour over time. Iron on the lowest setting only, or steam lightly while damp. Do not bleach. The thumb-hole cuffs are cut and sewn, not raw-edge, so they hold through regular washing without extra attention.

Everything is made to order — how long does production take?
Each piece is cut and sewn after you place your order, so please allow 5–10 business days for production before dispatch. You'll receive a shipping notification when it leaves the atelier. If you need it by a specific date, message us before ordering and we'll confirm whether it's possible.
Can I send my own measurements instead of choosing a standard size?
Yes, and it costs nothing extra. Add your bust, waist, and hip measurements to the order notes at checkout. Larah will cut to your dimensions. This is the best option if you're between two sizes or if the standard size chart doesn't match your proportions in one particular area.
Is this available in colours other than black?
Grey Melange is currently in stock alongside black, and other colours may be available on request. Message the atelier before ordering to check what's possible. Because each piece is made to order, colour options can change depending on current fabric stock.
What is your returns policy for made-to-order pieces?
Because every tunic is made specifically for you after you order, we can't accept returns based on size, colour, or fabric preference. If you're uncertain about sizing, send your measurements in the order notes or message us first — we'd rather resolve it before we cut the fabric than after.
